Meet Dr. Ettienne van Zyl

Dr. van Zyl, after graduating 1st in the UT Dental School class of 1995, completed a post graduate residency in Combined Prosthodontics in 1997, and continued his quest for a better understanding of how all parts of the body function together as one unit. Realizing, not one part of the body can be an island to itself, his treatment philosophy today is based on a proven physiologic model. He says, “For too long dentistry has been blind or ignorant of the impact the teeth, jaw position and supporting musculature have on the rest of the organism. You are more than just a set of pretty white teeth. Harmony of all systems equals health.”

Our advanced and comprehensive dental services change lives daily by improving our patients’ overall health and wellness. In addition to healthy teeth and gums, a modern approach to oral health includes optimal jaw development and position, which play major roles in overall wellness.
